My life and work evolves around the emotional depths and aesthetic aspects of human life. I am intrigued and often inspired by phenomena and themes such as sensory perception, (collective) emotion, (lucid) dreaming, and even the elusiveness of death. Most of my inspiration for personal projects stems from both daily and deeply personal experiences. In my commercial work I love to work in places where the senses are tickled and therefore i have found myself specializing in food and interior photography with some branding and design on the side.

My pull towards photography started somewhere around the age of 10 where I started capturing everything I adored with a little yellow and mainly plastic 35mm camera. Years and multiple cameras followed and capturing my family and neighborhood made place for shooting portraits for the highschool yearbook. Around graduation it all clicked and I started pursuing that dream which led me to the Fotovakschool in Amsterdam.
A few years after graduating (2009) I continued my education at the Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague. During the finishing up and receiving of my propeadeutic degree in 2015 my life took quite a drastically different turn that made me decide not to proceed art school. In the years that followed I explored both our external and my internal world, and besides some occasional photographic and graphic assignments I spent most of my time working in a different field.

In 2022 I gave hearing to my yearning for a more unconventional and creative life and swapped my apartment in Haarlem (NL) for a vintage van from which I’ve been working and living until today. That journey into the world and back to my self has brought me to where it all started, to my deep rooted urge to experience and capture the emotional depths and aesthetic aspects of human life.

I am open to be hired as your food & interior photographer and/ or help you with the branding of your business. My hands itch to create all sort of visuals that will attract the right customers and help you grow your business or brand.
